I Had Nothing to Do With This

These are the letters I found this morning, outside of the girls' rooms. This is not a bribe (CarolynOnline) I swear but seriously, if this doesn't tip the scales in my favor (for her Elf giveaway), then honestly, I don't know what will.

The back said "I LOVE CHRISTMAS!"

Please note that she is offering not only a "comfortal" sleeping spot AND crackers and water (those elves are such gourmands!), but also the excitement of a play date with other elves.

If I don't get those damn elves shipped to me pronto, someone (named Carolyn) is going to pay!

I should have made it an essay contest! R + B would've won for sure.

It makes me want to go knock on Santa's door and kidnap I mean coherse I mean discuss the possibility of a new home that gets warm part of the year just so Becca and Rachel can have their elves!

(I know, I know, their names are Bridget and Rory, but my mind can't give it up - I had Becca and Rachel in my imagination too long. And now I am thinking Kenny every time I see GFYO).

I'm sure that Christmas magic will find your name in Carolyn's hand come drawing time, but just in case something flukie happens, check this out:

A little mastercard magic will work the same wonders! We have one and we named him Goenther. He's some sort of miracle around these parts. Go Goenther!!

hey there - long time reader, first time commenter, love your work. our Small Town house has a freakish number of fireplaces, including one in O's room. The first Christmas we were here she was worried that Santa would show up in her room and scare the bejeezus out of her, so she taped a note to the inside of the chimney telling him to keep going down to the next exit and hang a left to find the tree...
